According to a new report by Environmental Health News, the presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), also known as ‘forever chemicals’, have been detected in multiple common bandage brands. These chemicals, which are known for their long-lasting presence in the environment and potential health hazards, raise concerns about the safety of common medical products. Associated with various health issues, including cancer and immune disorders, this finding highlights the need for stricter regulations and the development of safer healthcare alternatives to ensure consumer safety and minimize environmental harm.
