A recent study published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showed that women who have been pregnant revealed increased signs of biologic aging compared to those who have never been pregnant. The more times a woman has been pregnant, the faster her biological aging rate. The changes in cellular aging markers suggests that pregnancy can induce significant stress on the body, accelerating the aging process. The research highlights the importance of postpartum care and regular health checkups for mothers to mitigate potential aging effects of pregnancy.
