Accelerated aging associated with increased cancer risk in younger adults
Recent research has found a concerning link between accelerated biological aging and increased cancer risk among younger adults. The biological markers of aging are more prevalent in younger individuals diagnosed with cancer compared to their healthy peers. The strongest associations were seen with lung, stomach and intestinal, and uterine cancers. This finding suggests that accelerated aging could be a significant factor in early cancer development.
