Eyes may reveal first signs of Alzheimer’s disease
In a new study published in the scientific journal Acta Neuropathologica, the researchers have found that the first signs of Alzheimer’s disease may be found in the eyes. The study’s findings may help in diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease before symptoms appear and suggest that the eyes could serve as a window to the brain. These findings hold promise for developing non-invasive imaging techniques for early detection and intervention in Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, this discovery could potentially empower people to make informed decisions regarding their lifestyle and effectively control modifiable risk factors like hypertension and diabetes.
