According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), using expired medications poses potential risks to our well-being. The FDA states that medicines that have passed their expiration dates can be less effective or risky due to certain alterations in their chemical composition or reduced potency. After the expiration date has passed, there is no guarantee that the medicine will be safe and effective. The FDA, therefore, advises against the use of expired medicines, emphasizing that it is not worth the risk.
