The surprising reason you shouldn’t make your bed right away

Experts recommend delaying bed-making in the morning to decrease allergens and promote a healthier sleeping environment. Research indicates that dust mites do not survive as well in the warm, dry conditions of an unmade bed. Using a computer model, scientists tracked how changes in the home can lower dust mite numbers in beds, which can house up to 1.5 million dust mites. These findings highlight how a simple habit, like leaving your bed unmade for a while in the morning, can be greatly beneficial for your health.
