Enjoying a sweetened hot drink might be a daily habit, but it's essential to understand the effects of sugar overload on your health. According to a new report by the British campaign group Action on Sugar, a drink you buy at Starbucks could contain up to 25 teaspoons of sugar per serving. Excess sugar can lead to increased blood sugar levels, contributing to longer-term health issues such as weight gain and dental issues. It is, therefore, advised to moderate your sugar intake in hot coffee drinks.
