The environmental benefits of not mowing your lawn

Not mowing your lawn could be beneficial for the environment. Allowing the grass to grow creates a sanctuary for various insects and wildlife. Additionally, mowing less frequently also means less emissions, thus decreasing a household’s carbon footprint. However, overgrown lawns may also attract pests and lead to uneven growth and patchiness. Researchers suggest that if people embraced less frequent mowing, it could be a great way to do more for the environment by simply doing less.
