A new study published in the journal JAMA Psychiatry has shown that Ozempic may help in managing alcohol-use disorder by reducing alcohol drinking and cravings. This initial trial indicated that participants who were administered Ozempic reported lower levels of drinking and fewer cravings than those who received a placebo. These results suggest that Ozempic could be beneficial in addressing alcohol dependency, offering a new approach to help individuals reduce their alcohol intake. Further research is needed to fully understand how Ozempic can be used in this capacity.
