Guidance on measles boosters

As ongoing measles outbreaks raise concerns, many are considering whether a booster vaccine is necessary. Generally, most people will not require a booster, however, it's crucial to verify your vaccination status to ensure complete protection. According to the CDC, most adults born after 1957 should have at least one dose of the MMR vaccine, especially if they have never had measles, are unsure if they were vaccinated, or lack documentation proving immunity. Adults who received only one dose during childhood may need a booster for optimal protection. Since health recommendations can vary based on individual health profiles and exposure risks, consulting with a healthcare provider is essential.
