MIND diet linked to reduced cognitive decline
A new study published in the journal Neurology highlights the benefits of the MIND diet in slowing cognitive decline, with particularly strong effects observed in women and Black individuals. Combining elements of the Mediterranean and DASH diets, the MIND diet emphasizes brain-healthy foods like leafy greens, berries, nuts, and whole grains. Researchers suggest that its nutrient-rich focus may help protect against age-related memory loss and dementia. This finding emphasizes the importance of dietary choices in supporting brain health across diverse populations.
