Link between meal timing and jet lag

A recent study suggests a link between meal timing and overcoming the effects of jet lag in travelers, especially for older people. The authors revealed that eating a bigger breakfast in the early hours of the destination's time zone helps in preventing jet lag. Adjusting meal times to match the destination's time zone before traveling might help the body's internal clock realign faster, in turn decreasing jet lag symptoms such as fatigue, poor sleep, moodiness, and stomach issues. While the findings are preliminary and more research is needed, people may find some relief from the effects of jet lag by adopting this simple strategy.
