Fungi communicate with each other according to new study

A recent study published in the journal Royal Society Open Science, reveals that electrical signals fungi send to one another could be similar to human language. Conducted by a scientist in the UK, the study analyzed the rhythmic patterns of electrical spikes generated by four species of fungi, suggesting that they may communicate using a complex system of up to 50 words. While further research and testing are required to confirm this theory, this new insight into how fungi communicate could deepen our understanding of natural ecosystems.
