A new research article published in the scientific journal Neurology has found that the Mediterranean and Mediterranean-DASH Diet Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay (MIND) diets have shown promising findings in decreasing symptoms of Alzheimer's disease in brain tissue. Rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish, and healthy fats, these diets have been associated with various health benefits over the years. With that said, these new findings indicate the importance of nutrition in promoting brain health, with the Mediterranean diet serving as a protective factor for Alzheimer's disease.
