Do Brita filters effectively clean your water?

According to recent studies, Brita filters effectively reduce contaminants such as chlorine, lead, and certain particulates, improving both the taste and safety of tap water. However, they are less effective against some bacteria, viruses, and smaller chemical contaminants such as pesticides and lead, which can still pass through the filter. Therefore, it is advisable to have your water tested to identify specific contaminants that may need to be filtered out. Similar to many other water filters on the market, Britas are not a comprehensive solution for ensuring clean water.
