Chemicals linked to breast cancer found in food packaging
A new study published in the journal Frontiers in Toxicology has uncovered that harmful chemicals, such as bisphenols and phthalates, which are associated with an increased risk of breast cancer, are leaching into everyday foods through packaging and processing materials. Among the newly detected substances, 40 are already classified as hazardous by regulatory agencies globally. The findings highlight the urgent need for stricter regulations and safer alternatives to protect public health from these potentially carcinogenic compounds.
