US study finds cats have 300 different facial expressions

A new study published in the scientific journal Behavioral Processes has revealed that cats possess nearly 300 different facial expressions. The researchers at UCLA also found that cats have some expressions in common with humans. They used modern imaging and behavior analysis methods to detect the various expressions cats use in their interactions. This study offers new insights into understanding our feline companions.
