Research suggests standing desks could harm your health

A recent peer-reviewed article featured in the International Journal of Epidemiology indicates that prolonged use of standing desks may lead to negative health outcomes such as increased risk of musculoskeletal strain and cardiovascular issues. This finding challenges the widely-held belief that standing desks are a healthier alternative to traditional seated setups. Ultimately, while standing desks provide a way to avoid continuous sitting, they shouldn’t be seen as a complete solution—movement is essential.
