The challenge of stopping weight-loss medications like Ozempic is becoming a growing concern for millions of Americans who use these drugs primarily for diabetes management and weight loss. With employer-health plans becoming stricter or eliminating coverage, and drug manufacturers’ initial discount offers coming to an end, people are faced with the burden of paying $1,000 per month without insurance. According to many healthcare professionals, this situation creates a dilemma for patients who must either continue taking Ozempic indefinitely or risk regaining the weight. But for numerous people, the idea of taking Ozempic forever is not practical or sustainable.
