Potential health risks of marijuana

According to a recent article published in the medical journal BMJ, there is little quality evidence on the health benefits of marijuana. Much of the compelling data from the study highlights potential risks associated with marijuana use, particularly for pregnant women, people with mental health conditions, and youth who form a significant portion of cannabis users. Additionally, some findings indicate that marijuana may be linked to detrimental effects on brain function, including potential impacts on cognition and associations with certain mental disorders.
