Imported strawberries found with high level of pesticides
A recent investigation by Consumer Reports has found that fresh and frozen strawberries imported into the United States are often contaminated with concerning levels of pesticides. Strawberries, particularly the frozen variety, were among the most affected. Due to their low-growing nature and susceptibility to pests, strawberries frequently appear on lists of foods contaminated with insecticides. Consumers are urged to wash produce thoroughly and consider organic options to minimize exposure to harmful chemicals.
